Dr. Celia Roman

Dr. Roman received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, FL in 2019. She completed a program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut in 2012.

Dr. Lopez is triple board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, along with dental anesthesia and oral and maxillofacial implantology. He was the President of the International College of Dentists, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Board of Oral Implantology, and American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Lopez hails from Bogota, Colombia, where he attended the Universidad El Bosque and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana School of Dentistry, earning his DMD degree and completing a 4-year maxillofacial surgery residency.

Upon completing an internship in maxillofacial surgery and bone growth research, Dr. Lopez entered New York University to complete his second undergraduate degree at New York University College of Dentistry and obtained his DDS degree. He also completed a second residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the New York Medical Center at Bellevue Hospital, followed by an orthognathic and trauma fellowship.

Dr. Lopez has worked nationally and internationally at the well-known Johns Hopkins Healthcare System in the Middle East and South America. He has also participated in academia as an assistant professor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Universidad El Bosque, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, New York University and Lecom University colleges of dentistry.

Dr. Lopez is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Broward County Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,  Colombian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons among others.

Dr. Lopez has privileges at several hospitals, and in addition to his private practice work, volunteers his time to perform pro-bono medical care for international patients who can benefit from advanced procedures offered in the U.S, and has volunteered in Africa at the Mercy Ships in Guinea.
